From one van in South Auckland to a nationwide network — still family-owned, still answering the phone ourselves.
A family business that grew up on the road
WeHaul was founded in 2006 by Manu and Aroha Te Rangi with a single second-hand van and a promise: we commit, we deliver.
Manu drove, Aroha dispatched from the kitchen table, and word spread among South Auckland manufacturers that WeHaul turned up when others didn't. Today the business is run day-to-day by their daughter Mere Te Rangi, employs 62 full-time staff and operates 48 company-owned vehicles from six depots between Auckland and Dunedin.
We've grown a lot, but the fundamentals haven't changed. Our customers speak to a dispatcher who knows their business. Our drivers are employees, not contractors. And when something goes wrong — because in freight, sometimes it does — we pick up the phone and fix it.
